Celestial bodies and events have fascinated mankind since the beginning of recorded human history. Among the many astronomical phenomena, the one that has always stood out as a spectacle is the solar eclipse. On April 8th, 2024, Western New York will experience a total solar eclipse not seen in the region since 1925 (and in Fluvanna, and other localities within southern Chautauqua County, not witnessed since 1806).
