Join us for a unique journey as we explore Fluvanna's history and experience travel as it was before the roar of engines filled the streets. Starting at the War Vets, you'll be transported back to a time when the rhythmic clip-clop of hooves was the soundtrack of travel. As you relax into the gentle pace of the ride, you’ll see the neighborhood from a nostalgic perspective, appreciating the beauty and tranquility that our forefathers and foremothers enjoyed. This isn’t just a ride; it’s a mobile history lesson. Along the way, you’ll learn about the rich history of Fluvanna and how the place we now know as the "War Vets" was once a recreational hub for all things equine. Taking the place of our annual horse-drawn sleigh/cutter rides (due to this past winter's lack of snow), don’t miss this chance to trot back in time and connect with the heritage of our community.
